Bare bulb

In the last week or so, I’ve been playing around with using a single, bare light bulb as a light source. It’s giving some really nice, deep shadows and contrast, and I’m intrigued with the results. So much so, that I’ve created a new section of the website, Bare Portraits, to display some of those images. I’m thinking of making a series using this technique.
At the moment, I’m using a 40W bulb, but I’m thinking of upgrading to 100W. I think it’s a worthwhile upgrade. I’m completely outta control, aren’t I?
