Victory is mine

And the crowd roared...
Finally, after almost 2 years, the market risk project I’ve been working on is completed and is up and running. It’s been a long, hard journey, but it panned out. I really stretched my design into new territory, and much to my satisfaction, it worked. The system is generating more than 20 times the data, in less time than before. Looking back, it seemed almost impossible, but with a lot of hard work, we were able to pull it off.
Seems the client is very pleased with the results (as am I). They are able to analyse the data in ways they were never able to before, and the data is far more accurate. And, the good news is that it was done on time. Although, frighteningly, just in time – the due date is today. Talk about things coming right down to the wire…
My plans now are that I’m going to take it easy for a couple of months. Catch up on much needed sleep, process my photo backlog, shoot some new ones, sort out some paperwork I’ve been ignoring for too long, and diddle with the website a bit.
Oh, and most importantly, work on sorting out my personal life. I need to make some big changes, and I suspect there is a surprise or two lurking. I’ll post more about things as time progresses. But for now, I sleep.
