Someone forgot their jacket
Actually, the heading of this entry is a bit of a lie… the work is still in progress. But, there are a few images that I’m starting to like, such as the Jacket image in this post.
I’m using pretty much the same processing techniques that I used back in September for the first batch of photos from the breakers (same quadtones, etc.). The main difference this time is that I did a better job of exposing the highlights, and the extra resolution from using the Canon 5D over the 20D is quite handy for cropping. Also, I’m really liking the sharpness and contrast of the 24-105mm f/4 L lens that I shot the images with. It’s a beautiful lens.
I hope to have this batch of photos finished in a week or so, now that I have some time off of work. I’ll probably post the whole batch up for a while until I can whittle the series down to a more manageable number (maybe 25 or 30 images total—just my favourite images).
